Crucially, these individuals would have been unable to earn and were financially dependent upon others. After rehabilitating them there is a significant sum into the circular economy without the transformative impact of the Bionikx Arm. This technological innovation has not only enhanced their mobility but has also become a catalyst for economic empowerment. It has unlocked opportunities that were previously inaccessible, allowing individuals with disabilities to actively contribute to the economy, create employment opportunities, and drive innovation. An estimated 1.3 billion people-about 16% of the global population-currently experience significant disability. 80% of persons with disabilities live in developing countries, according to the UN Development Program. They are the world's largest minority.
